Workshop notes:
- The participants were welcomed with a short introduction of themselves
- The SEED Fellow Professor Hua Dong gave an introduction to the SEED Fellowship project and reminded all participants to read the information sheet, ask questions and complete the consent form.
- Workshop Session 1 focused on opportunities and barriers (options were provided based on the findings of the Brunel workshop). Five groups each identified top five opportunities and why; and top five barriers and coping strategies
- After the coffee break, the participants were asked to change tables to meet different people. workshop Session 2 focused on identifying key policies and organisations, stakeholders, and proposed activities of the future hub. The participants were also invited to draw a diagram showing how stakeholders interact through the hub.
- Jessica Jiang from UKRI-China gave a talk after the lunch break.
- Workshop Session 3 focused on the support to be provided by the future hub and the illustration/visualization of the future hub. Visual materials (e.g., magazines) were provided and each group did a short presentation explaining their concept of the future hub.
- After the afternoon tea break, Dr Isobel Ward gave an introduction to the west London creative industries.
